Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is Reiki?
Reiki is a noninvasive, complementary and alternative healing practice that promotes healing as well as overall health and well being. Reiki is a Japanese word which means "universal life force energy". Everything on earth has life force energy... humans, animals, trees, mountains, rivers, rocks, etc. Reiki is a system of interacting with the life force energy in a way that promotes balance and healing.
2. How many Reiki treatments will my pet need?
I will work with you initially to develop a treatment plan for your pet, depending upon the specific need. Based on my experience with using Animal Reiki, for best results I usually recommend several treatments on consecutive days, followed by a weekly treatment until your pet is well.
3. What does my pet need to be doing during a distance Reiki healing session?
Just allow your pet to be naturally doing what he or she would be doing if the Reiki session wasn't scheduled. No special preparation is needed.
4. Can my pet get too many Reiki sessions?
No, there is never too much Reiki. Reiki never causes harm. It is only used for the highest good and most pets enjoy receiving the Reiki energy.
5. What does it feel like to receive Reiki healing?
When people receive Reiki, some of them feel a tingly sensation, hot or cold places on their body, some have an emotional reaction to it, and others feel nothing at all except a deep sense of relaxation. Like people, animals have their own individual way of reacting to Reiki energy, but most of them welcome it because Reiki is sent with the intention of healing with love and compassion and animals are naturally attuned to Reiki energy.
6. Will I be able to discuss my pet's progress during this treatment process?
Yes. I want to hear from you concerning your pet. And, I will also want to communicate to you any information I may have intuitively received from your pet. I am always here to support you and I want to work closely with you for the wellness of your pet.
7. Will Reiki healing also help my horses and other animals?
Yes. Reiki can be used for all animals, no matter what the species. Reiki can even be used to help endangered species and to help heal Mother Earth. Since Reiki energy is not limited by time or space, distance healing is just as effective as hands on healing because it works with the life force energy that surrounds all living beings.
8. What is your return policy?
As agreed, I will send Reiki energy healing to your pet, after discussing a treatment plan. Even though great improvement and/or healing responses are common as the result of receiving Reiki healing, there are no guarantees because there are many factors that contribute to wellness and Reiki is just one of them. Therefore, money will not be refunded for the healing sessions regardless of the results.
I will always ask permission from your pet before sending the Reiki energy to them. If, for some reason, your pet does not wish to receive Reiki the day it is scheduled, I will notify you and another Reiki session will be scheduled at no additional charge to you. Most pets are very willing to receive Reiki energy, but there may be a day when your pet is just not "in the mood" for it, and their wishes will always be respected as an equal healing partner.
